About Dr. Gu
Dr. Jiafeng Gu earned his medical degree from Fudan University in China in 2004. After earning his Ph.D. degree in molecular biology from the University of Southern California in 2009, he went on to attend Columbia University for his DDS degree. He then finished orthodontic specialty training from The Ohio State University with a Master of Science degree. His thesis at OSU was on the evaluation of Invisalign treatment effectiveness and efficiency. Dr. Gu has demonstrated a commitment to providing people with beautiful and confident smiles with state of art techniques. He received numerous academic awards, including New York Academy of Dentistry Exemplary Professional Conduct Award, Academy of Operative Dentistry Award and Milton G. Schlesinger Research Excellence Award etc. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society at Columbia University. He served as oral session chair at 2011 IADR general session in San Diego. He has published more than 10 scientific articles and presented at multiple conferences. Dr. Gu is a member of American Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association. In his spare time, Dr. Gu and his wife Lin enjoy traveling or cooking and reading at home.
